Brenden Theatres Concord 14, Concord, Calif.
Offers 14 screens, stadium seating with high-back “love seats,” Lucasfilm THX and digital sound, three restaurants and three concession stands. Opened 1997.

Brenden Theatres Vacaville 16, Vacaville, Calif.
Includes 16 screens, stadium seating with “love seats,” Lucasfilm THX and digital sound, giant video wall in lobby and three concession stands. Opened 1998.

Brenden Modesto 18, Modesto, Calif.
Serves as the anchor for Modesto’s downtown renovation project. Includes 18 screens, stadium high-back seating, Lucasfilm THX, Dolby and DTS Sound, giant video wall in lobby and three concession stands. Opened 1999.

Brenden Theatres & IMAX® at the Palms, Las Vegas, Nev.
The award-winning cinemaplex in the world-famous Palms Casino Resort features 13 screens and a 3-D large format IMAX theatre standing five stories. Highlights include stadium seating with high-back rockers, Lucasfilm THX and digital sound, giant video wall in lobby and two concession stands. Opened 2001.

History President & CEO Johnny Brenden comes from a family of motion picture industry pioneers. His grandfather, the late Ted Mann, was the sole owner of the Mann Theatre Circuit, including the historic Mann’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Brenden’s grandmother, Rhonda Fleming-Mann, starred in more than 40 pictures, including “Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court” (1949) and “Gunfight at the O.K. Corral” (1957). She shared the silver screen with Gregory Peck and Kirk Douglas.

With his grandparents at his side, Brenden worked his way through the movie business, first as usher and cashier, and later on the corporate side of operations. Brenden realized his personal dream in 1990 when he founded Brenden Theatre Corp.
Brenden Celebrity Club Members receive access to all movie club giveaways, advanced movie times and event information, invitations to advanced promotional screenings. Membership is free.
CineVegas Film Festival Brenden Theatres & IMAX® at the Palms is home to the internationally recognized CineVegas Film Festival, held annually in June. It combines the excitement of world premiere films and celebrity tributes with the allure of Vegas. It has attracted such celebrities as Jack Nicholson, Sean Penn, Dustin Hoffman and Holly Hunter.

ShoWest Recognition For the second year in a row, Brenden Theatres was recognized with the prestigious ShoWest/NATO Showmanship Award for "Best Overall Promotion" for its promotion of “Superman Returns” at the Brenden Theatres & IMAX at the Palms Casino Resort.

In March 2006, Brenden Theatre Corp. received the Best Overall Promotion and Showmanship award during the ShoWest/NATO (National Association of Theatre Owners) marketing achievement awards ceremony held in Las Vegas, Nev. as part of ShoWest, the largest gathering of motion picture professionals in the world.

The award recognized Brenden Theatres’ Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith promotion, sponsored by Pepsi-Cola, at Brenden Theatres Modesto 18. Modesto is the same city where Star Wars creator George Lucas was born.

Promotion highlights included: Giveaway of Hyundai Accent wrapped in Star Wars imagery, integrated campaign between Pepsi point-of-sale materials and Brenden’s website, 500,000 promotional Pepsi bottle neckrings, transformation of Brenden Theatres Modesto 18 into a space station, comprehensive media campaign, galactic in-theatre activities, benefit premiere with appearance by Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, 1977), endorsement from Modesto mayor, promotion at Toys-R-Us, 24-hour lineup for premiere with live music, entertainment, street vendors and themed activities.
